This is a list of tips for those lucky people heading away on your vacations!

- Most all-inclusive resorts provide guest beach towels.  One problem, they all look the same.  To help distinguish your saved chair, bring a colourful beach towel from home to hold your space and you can easily spot where you are camped out for the day.  It also comes in handy if the resort is behind on their delivery and supply of guest beach towels.

- My favorite is to bring an insulated travel mug.  It is ideal to bring your drink to the beach and not worry about that hot sun. Additionally you can hold a lot more than the tiny flimsy plastic cups they provide, and the ice lasts much longer; beer stays nice and cold!   Lastly, if your stuck for cash people are usually quite jealous and will buy your cup from you.   I once had a guy offer me $50 for it!

- Bring some extra money and keep in a safe location, at the hotel room in case you are pick pocketed.

- This is another great one….Scan your passport and any other important documentation and mail it to yourself in an e-mail box you access anywhere like hotmail.  Thus if you lose your documentation you will always have a digital copy!.

- If there’s something not on the menu that you want, ask for it, 9 times out of 10 they will actually make it for you.

- If you receive exceptional service take the time to write a letter of appreciation.
